OUR STORY

Sheepgate Fellowship is the English Ministry of Yang-Mun Presbyterian Church
located in the Downsview Park area of Toronto, Canada.
Established in the early 90’s originally as a Korean immigrant church,
Sheepgate has faithfully served God and his people for decades in the greater Toronto area.
In 2011 the Korean ministry established an English ministry within its church structure
and this ministry has since become to be known as Sheepgate Fellowship.
The convictions of the church and its members have been drawn to the reformed tradition and its teachings.
Sheepgate is a church that hopes to continue to serve God and his people for as long as the Lord wills and allows.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to preach the good news of Jesus Christ and to make disciples;
to love God and to love our neighbours; to worship God and to enjoy Him forever.

OUR BELIEFS

We believe the Bible is the written word of God,
inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts.
The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is
infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

We believe in the Holy Trinity.
There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons:
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves
from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy.

We believe that salvation is by God alone as
He sovereignly chooses those He will save.
We believe His choice is based on His grace,
not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God,
who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for
the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.

We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals
but as families in successive generations according to His Covenant promises.

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them
the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.

We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly,
to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself.

We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived
to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

UPCOMING EVENTS AT SHEEPGATE

Gospel Conference 2025

March 10-12, 2025

Gospel Conference is a youth retreat that hopes to continue the legacy of preserving and preaching that one true gospel of Jesus Christ in the midst of the noise of our generation.
So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All those who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.
JOHN 10:7-10
